This shows the amplifier modules and the power transformer. We could not get the power on by the on off switch so we hot wired power to the transformer.
This is another view of the transformer and amplifiers.
This is a view of the back side of the guts.
So far I have been able to confirm the pins of the amplifiers. There is more to come.
Hello. Please VCC? Amp? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHello. VCC? Amp? thanks
ReplyDeleteThe power transformer has six windings that are 42 VCT each.
ReplyDeleteI have a single one of these boards. What kind of transformer do I need? And how do you unmute it? It will drive 4ohm speakers.
ReplyDeleteYou need a transformer with 40 to 42 VCT to power it up. The mute is turned off with a resistor to 5 volts.

ReplyDeleteHi Bob. I just wanted to thank you for posting info on the Niles LM3886 modules. I purchased a 'part only ' 12 unit like yours, and based on your help I was able to build a few very nice chip amps with little effort. In particular, it was very helpful on your part to determine the circuit layout for each module, especially the 'mute' resistor. Many thanks for taking the time to document your efforts. Paul
ReplyDeletethank for posting the circuit layout on these modules. very nice lm3886 chip amplifiers
